Sanders will lower drug costs
I read with interest your Associated Press article Sept. 18 about curbing drug costs. As a family caregiver of a senior, I know firsthand how people on low and fixed incomes struggle to purchase prescription medications. It is a shame that citizens of the richest country on Earth live in fear of bankruptcy or death because we do not have laws to protect us from the greedy pharmaceutical industry.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has taken low-income seniors and women with breast cancer up to Canada to purchase the safe and effective drugs they need at a fraction of the outrageous prices we pay here in the U.S. Elected president, Sen. Sanders’ proposed policies will save us over $100 billion a year in drug costs.
Sen. Sanders is one candidate who can make and keep these promises, because he is not owned by billionaires, their super PACs and pharmaceutical industry lobbyists.
