Obama’s presidency dwarfs Bush’s
We are in the preseason of the 2016 presidential campaign. What is really surprising me is that the Republican Party wants to blame Barack Obama and his administration for everything that is wrong in America. Republican candidates do not want to give President Obama credit for any of his accomplishments.
Republicans want us to think that their vision of America is the correct one. They have historically tried to defeat all of President Obama’s programs and have failed each time.
The last Republican president did more harm to America than President Obama could ever do. Look at the statistics:
George W. Bush’s last year versus President Obama’s last year currently:
▪ Unemployment 7.2 percent vs. 5.1 percent
▪ Cost of gallon of gas $3.24 vs. $2.31
▪ Uninsured rate 15 percent vs. 9.2 percent
▪ Oil barrels imported 11 million vs. 4.5 million
▪ Teen pregnancy 40.2/1,000 vs. 26.5/1,000
▪ Iron centrifuges 19,000 vs. 6,000
▪ GDP growth -0.3 percent vs. +3.7 percent
▪ Dow Jones 10,355 vs. 16,271
Republican presidential candidates are arguing that President Obama’s policies are failing America. The above statistics for last Republican president would indicate that his presidency and policies failed America. President Obama’s presidency, evidenced by the above statistics, his final year has benefited America. Go Obama!
