Morin’s cartoon portrays pro-lifers as vicious people
Of all the hate-filled expressions I’ve seen from anyone, Jim Morin and his political cartoon in the Sept. 15 Bee tops them all.
He must really have a deep hatred for anyone who is against taking a baby’s life, before or during its birth, and for anyone who opposes killing an elderly person just because they’re too old to be of value to society. He seems to enjoy picturing all pro-life people as vicious looking, angry, teeth-grinding, ugly persons who oppose funding for preventative check-ups, cancer screenings, transmitted sex-disease prevention, sex education, medical research, and AIDS/HIV counseling.
As a person who knows a lot of pro-life people, I have not run across one yet who is against the funding of any of these important health and education needs in our society. Each pro-life person, as with each pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia person, has his or her idea of how and who should fund these important health and education needs in our society, and that surely shouldn’t cause us to promote the kind of hatred for a whole group of people, which Mr. Morin portrays in his cartoon.
