Grocery Outlet, please bring upscale store to Blackstone

Since the loss of Vons and Save Mart supermarkets on Blackstone Avenue between Clinton and Gettysburg avenues (thanks so much, Walmart!), I want to encourage Grocery Outlet to up its game.

I was astounded at the Grocery Outlet store I visited in Grass Valley. The store was huge, clean and sold a myriad of natural and organic foods with an amazing variety and quantity of high quality produce, meats and other products. Our local store does not compare at all. Yet, since Walmart does not offer much in the way of organic foods or selection, those of us who live in this area are missing what Vons and Save Mart had once provided.

If Grocery Outlet here would strive to emulate the quality provided in some of their other stores, I know that many of us in the Fresno High, Tower and Fig Garden neighborhoods would appreciate the healthier grocery options at discounted prices and their business would reflect that. So tap into the non-Walmart shoppers, Grocery Outlet!
