Follow master plan for more Fresno city parks

Fresno city leaders voted to create a parks master plan to address our parks’ crisis.

The clock is ticking.

A parks master plan is not the ultimate answer, but it will give structure to growth, which will help create more green space in the parts of the city that need it most, and make the city more likely to receive federal funds and grants to improve our parks.

It is encouraging that Romain Playground will get a new skate park, thanks to young leaders, Fresno Building Healthy Communities, and their partners, but we can’t stop here. The health of our city demands a plan that will create more parks for all.
