Gov. Brown got it right
Every penny in California’s budget counts, and our governor just rolled the dice with our money.
Recent results of negotiations between the governor and a tribe-run casino will leave our general fund a little short. As bad as that sounds, he got this one right. The governor identified a portion of the funds collected for public projects instead of the general-fund abyss.
Economic development and local infrastructure will surely benefit. It’s not exactly buy local, but a step in the right direction.
Good job, governor, you got one right.
