What about Obama?

The Fresno Bee editors (Sept. 9) denounced Kim Davis’ actions as an employee who defied a judicial order rather than as a martyr.

I agree with the Editorial Staff that Mrs. Davis should do her job and uphold the oath she took, or quit. It’s really that simple.

However, I am wondering where The Bee’s Editorial uproar was when President Obama refused to uphold the United Stated Supreme Court order in Citizen United v. FEC. Marston and Yoo wrote in the WSJ (2011). “Mr. Obama apparently believes that he can veto the Supreme Court by naked presidential fiat...”

Or last year, the Obama administration again in defiance “...Judge Hanen was shocked to learn that USCIS issued the 2,000 three-year amnesties even after he’d issued his injunction.” Washington Times; Dinan June 29.

These are just a few of the many examples of our current administration’s lack of care for the judicial system or President Obama’s presidential oath.

Please Fresno Bee Editorial Staff, please be consistent in your condemnation of government employees who fail to uphold their oath or quit.
