Trump handled Ramos correctly

Reading the letter from Dean Christensen in the Sept. 7 Bee, I was amazed to read his interpretation of the encounter between TV anchor Jorge Ramos and Donald Trump.

I watched that segment many times, and would like to challenge Mr. Christensen’s statements as to what occurred. The event was a Q&A between Mr. Trump and the press. Mr. Trump had called on another reporter when Mr. Ramos stood up, interrupted the exchange in progress, and would not stop or sit down.

Perhaps Mr. Trump signaled someone. If so, I didn’t see it. However, a gentleman appeared and quietly escorted Mr. Ramos out of the room. Later, Trump invited Mr. Ramos back in and allowed him to have the exchange that he was seeking.

My view of the whole episode was that “Donald Rex,” as he was referred to in the letter, used a lot of restraint and was polite to a very rude individual.
