Fresno Tacos forever
Why not change the name of our winning AAA baseball team from the Fresno Grizzlies to the Fresno Tacos? “Grizzlies” isn’t a fun word, means nothing and reminds me of years of disappointment. Tacos, there’s something that everyone loves.
If El Paso can call their team the “Chihuahuas,” Albuquerque the “Isotopes,” Las Vegas the “51s,” and don’t forget the River Cats and the Mud Hens, all AAA teams, then who could forget the name of the Fresno Tacos?
Fresno will be known worldwide as having a sense of humor. And if Taco Bell wants to give every one in Fresno a free taco for changing the name of our winning team, then what’s to think about?
