Van Ness Extension didn’t get the water memo

There was an interesting segment on Channel 30 Aug. 18, about Clovis leveling fines on residents for excessive water usage. Near a couple of our rentals, I still see water flowing out in the gutters from the subdivisions on a daily basis. There are many residents who have let their lawns die – but not the norm. Clovis allows watering at high noon. At least the city of Fresno has time restrictions.

I also had an occasion to drive up Van Ness Extension Aug. 17. It is obvious some of the upper crust crowd have not received the office memo. As usual, money has its advantages. The sheer arrogance always speaks for itself. After all, what would they say at the country club if the Rolls Royce had to park near a brown lawn? Ain’t gonna happen. For reals. Just wait until next summer, folks. Just wait. It ain’t over yet.
