Students are best teachers
Reading your article about the money wasted on teacher training workshops brought back memories of my 36 years as an art teacher at McLane High School.
During my career, I was mandated to attend a vast number of those workshops and can’t recall learning anything I was able to use in the classroom. The instructors were never my peers and were usually administrators or consultants who had little or no teaching experience.
My students, however, taught me everything I needed to know about being the best teacher I could be and I always made a point of telling them so.
