Change the rules on health care for undocumented residents
According to a recent story in The Bee, Medicare and Medi-Cal pay the health bills for about 1.2 million people in Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties.
But thousands more aren’t covered due to their documentation status. This needs to change. Undocumented residents work hard and pay about $3 billion in state taxes.
They deserve access to health care.
