Parks need water

Congratulations to the city of Fresno for making highly treated recycled non-potable water available to their water utility customers for pickup at the regional wastewater treatment plant.

Now will the city be able to break down the barriers between its various departments such that the city transports this same water to Roeding and Woodward parks for use on the parched green spaces (trees, shrubs and grass) caused by the drought?

These two facilities are in dire need of any and all types of water to maintain their spacious areas as green park space for the enjoyment of residents! I, for one, can only hope that the downtown powers can swiftly implement a program to save our green park spaces with this new source of landscape water!
