Audit the books
To elaborate on what Mr. Madrid wrote (letter July 17): There needs to be independent auditors like they do with the stock market.
Starting with Sacramento and all the way down to Mr. Hanson and the phony no-bid contracts of Fresno Unified, we cannot trust government with all of our taxes. Clearly our gasoline taxes are not being spent on our roads.
Independent auditors will find out where and into whose pockets this money is going.
