Obama soars like an eagle

President Obama is currently soaring like the majestic American bald eagle and solidifying his ranking as one of America’s transformative presidents. He is not the lame-duck president that the pundits on the right had predicted of him for this stage in his presidency. America is indeed, exceptional.

Let us take look at some of his accomplishments and his articulation of his vision.

▪ Iran nuclear deal, “We have stopped the spread of nuclear weapons in the region.”

▪  Same sex marriage, “We can say in no uncertain terms that we’ve made our union a little more perfect.”

▪  Obamacare, “The law is working and it’s going to keep doing just that.”

▪ Trade deal, “These kinds of agreements reflect the realities of a 21st century economy.”

▪  Normalizing relations with Cuba, “We are making these changes because it is the right thing to do.”

▪ Confederate battle flag, “Belongs in a museum.”

▪ Mother Emanuel AME Church, “To the families of the fallen, the nation shares in your grief.”

▪  Obama criminal justice reform NAACP speech, “Any system that allows us to turn a blind-eye to hopelessness and despair, that’s not a justice system,” “Justice is not only the absence of oppression, it’s the presence of opportunity.”
