Hidden money

It bewilders me how this nanny state is using public pressure to increase taxes, with the pretense that our state infrastructures and roads are falling apart and desperately need repairing. We all agree that our roads need repairing and should be a priority.

Wait a minute! Where is Sacramento hiding the billions in tax revenues the state has collected from overtaxing the people?

If repairing these roads is a priority, start using the hidden billions stored away. They will use all the available news media to publicize and indoctrinate us why these tax increases are necessary. Let’s tell them to stop overspending our tax money, such as the record outrages $115 billion proposed spending budget that has been signed by the governor.

This is the biggest entitlement state in the union, shamefully wasting our tax dollars. When will we learn?

Manuel Madrid, Reedley
