Southern treason
Helen Button (letter June 26) wants to “revere the heroes of the South” by replacing one Confederate flag with another.
Article Three of the Constitution defines treason: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them.”
Why revere those who waged war against the United States, killing more than 100,000 United States soldiers? Let’s revere the true heroes of the South like Harriet Tubman.
