Trump doesn’t want truth to come out

Witnesses to the trial of Donald Trump: The Democrats want the truth. They want a limited amount of witnesses, all of them who heard what Donald Trump is alleged to have done.

These witnesses are people who were appointed by Donald Trump himself. Donald Trump doesn't want these witnesses because he doesn't want the truth to come out.

Who ever heard of a trial without witnesses?

It is serious to tell a foreign country like Ukraine, “you interfere in our election or I'm going to withhold aid.”

Do we Americans want a foreign power interfering in our elections?

It should be the Americans people who decide.

Senators should be as brave as soldiers

The Trump impeachment isn’t complicated. He got caught subverting our electoral process. Republicans don’t mind. Honest elections are their worst nightmare. Why would they object if Trump uses our tax money leveraging Ukraine to game his re-election?

Country before party? The party is their only duty. They don’t think it’s American unless it’s Republican, and now it’s not Republican unless it serves Trump. An honest trial of Trump in the Senate might be politically risky.

Senators who insist that it’s a citizen-soldier’s patriotic duty to risk his life don’t see their own duty to risk their seat. Looking for dopes and babies? Been watching the Senate this week.

Trump’s actions add up to bingo

You can figure that those on the left who are unhinged will remain unhinged. Despite their media choices and elected Democrats being exposed as willful frauds, their seething hatred denies them a connection to truth and reality. Just the way it is.

Then there are those in the Trump camp who are unwavering in their support, even additionally fortified, as they see positive progress and promises kept despite the leftist headwinds. Just the way it is.

What’s interesting to me are the others who may be keeping track of things like a mental/emotional bingo card. In the three years in office Trump has offered extreme contrasts to recent administrations. Where Obama/Clinton went limp and allowed heroic Americans to be murdered in Benghazi, Trump didn’t even hesitate to shut down the embassy uprising in Iraq, shortly thereafter sending the murderous thug responsible to Allah. Where Obama gave up high-level terrorists in exchange for the coward/traitor Bergdahl, Trump restored honor to warriors. Where the Bushes and the other Clinton gave the store to China and N. Korea, Trump has said “No mas.”

It’s my belief the many stark contrasts will add up to a bingo in their hearts and minds for Trump 2020.

Clean highways or risk embarassment

In a recent article, Mayor Brand “hopes that the pilot program (to clean up our freeways) will someday extend well beyond local freeways and highways.” After having just driven a 12-mile stretch of our highways 41 and 180, I have some questions for Mayor Brand:

How do you feel when you pick up a visitor to Fresno at our air terminal and drive that person over 180 and 41? After having lived in Fresno for 74 years, I am embarrassed by the trash, tents, and tenuous promises to clean it up. Our freeways don’t have to be manicured and beautifully landscaped, but they need to be clean and reflect some pride.

Let’s stop dreaming of the extension of that pilot program until we can at least initiate it. How is that $400,000 being spent? Fresno deserves to know.
