Our foundation
Rasheed Mirza (letter May25) spreads his own religious “sacred gusto” in his tirade against Jews and Christians, who apparently should not have a place in this democratic society. Rather, Christians “impose their Judeo-Christian values … on the rest of the population.”
Mr. Mirza, seeking “freedom from religion,” (not found in the U.S. Constitution) eagerly points out others’ mistakes and human imperfection, but fails to state from whom or what his own religion originates while hinting to what degree he would impose his religion.
Thank God for the Judeo-Christian foundational principles of this country, the historical record documenting this “one nation under God,” and, despite the present assaults, the hope they give the world.
