Faith and values

Thanks for the coverage May 23 of the anniversary of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Though I am not of that denomination, I salute you in covering items religious. I very much miss Ron Orozco’s columns and encourage you in the new design of your paper to pay attention to the region’s religious activities, which, as I understand, encompasses more than 500 churches and agencies, and so in some ways, remains the largest business in town.

Years ago, I, along with others, was invited by The Bee to offer input. Subsequently greater attention was given to agricultural news, and religious reporting increased. However, while sports coverage is currently more than than adequate, only minimum space is given to faith and values. Kindly consider expanding news that serves the church constituency.
