Hold accountable

Good article (May 24) by Marc Benjamin about Chukchansi employees idled by the casino’s closure, but it would have been better if he had told us how Reggie Lewis, Nancy Ayala, and other so-called tribal leaders are getting by these days. Hard to imagine they are depending on unemployment benefits to pay their bills.

A deeply entrenched handful of Chukchansi have engaged in senseless infighting for years now, at the expense of the rank and file members of the tribe. They need to be held accountable, and removed from leadership positions.
