Good luck, Chance

I am a commissioner with the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Commission.

I was very impressed with the May 22 article in The Bee regarding a young man named Chance, who will be graduating from the high school on the Juvenile Justice Center campus. I commend The Bee and Hannah Furfaro, the author of the article.

One of my duties as a commissioner is to attend the graduations of juveniles who are incarcerated. The speeches given by the graduates are heartfelt and give an insight into what the graduate has overcome to arrive at this place in his or her life.

I am looking forward to hearing Chance’s and the other graduates’ speeches. I am sure they will be heartwarming and insightful. I wish them the best. Congratulations to Chance and the other graduates.
