Mayor’s fairytale

Count me a skeptic when it comes to Mayor Swearngin’s “policies” because skepticism is a logical check and balance to the mayor’s view of a fairytale Fresno.

For example, north Fresno, did you know that during the mayor’s watch blight invaded your neighborhood? She says the blight line is now Herndon Avenue, and that it happened in the last few years.

Of course, this is ridiculous, but it’s what she’s selling so she can funnel more money and resources north to fix “blight” in the area. She has no real interest in solving the actual blight and lack of affordable, healthy housing in south Fresno.

It’s not “Restore Fresno.” It’s ignore Fresno — at least the neighborhoods and residents that need the most investment.
