Proposition 13 benefits all Californians and has saved many from losing their homes.
Prior to Prop. 13, California’s raging inflation had sent property tax bills soaring so high that many families had to sell their homes because they could not afford to pay their taxes.
Prop. 13 tax savings were spent in the economy to create jobs and foster economic development.
