Smart showers
While waiting for either the shower or bath water to get warm, we put a plastic laundry detergent bucket in the tub and shower to catch the cold water.
The bucket holds around 3.5 gallons of water. It seems to take a little over 2 gallons of water before it turns warm. We use the recycled water to water our trees and landscaping.
It’s really easy and it’s amazing how much water is wasted as it goes down the drain while you are waiting for it to get warm.
