We will learn
Most people will eventually become environmentalists, as difficult as that may sound to some. It will become obvious, even to the most skeptical among us, that everything depends upon clean air and fresh water. It will also become obvious that we are running out of “breathable air” and drinkable/usable water.
It is possible that oil companies are benefiting from legislation that gives them the ability to control the amount of pollutants that they can put into our atmosphere. If your congressman is taking any money from the oil companies, and then voting for oil-interest legislation, you should at least consider voting for someone who votes his/her own mind.
If we wait long enough, I believe that most Americans will figure out that life as we live it, is coming to an end. Earth has taken very good care of us.
