South Fresno parks

The Fresno City Council and the mayor want residents to believe they are the fixing parks system. Not so fast. The city let the parks suffer for years because they never invested in these services. The parks in south Fresno suffered the most. They can say they’re investing money now, but it’s not a real commitment to address the tale of two cities.

The fact is, there will still be only about an acre of park space per 1,000 residents in south Fresno, while north Fresno will have nearly five times the amount of park space. It’s great north Fresno has these parks and these green spaces. Don’t residents in south Fresno deserve this same commitment?
