Put Snoop Dogg concert in Kearney Park, if it must happen
Regarding the Jan. 23 article about the possibility of Snoop Dogg performing at Woodward Park: First, a question for Fresno’s City Council. Is this the kind of culture we want to bring to our city and our youth? This “music” does not send any kind of positive message.
Secondly, the article cites parking as a major concern. Really? How about pot smoking, drinking, trash, vandalism to nearby neighborhoods? Are those considerations as well?
A two-day event going until midnight with a two-day carnival atmosphere!? Yikes. This kind of event will attract a certain element and cause more problems than it’s worth. It’s not a good idea. Councilman Garry Bredefeld is on the right track. Vote No! (If this does happen, please consider a different locale away from the city center such as Kearney Park.)
