I have been a subscriber to The Bee for more than 45 years. There’s something about getting my blood to boil that helps me wake up in the morning.

A small article (story, Jan. 19) really woke me up. It concerned our state’s illustrious “top cop,” Attorney General Xavier Becerra.

In it, he warned California’s employers that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential immigration crackdown which would contradict “...our new California laws.”

He is quoted as actually saying, “We will prosecute those who violate the law.” Talk about being oxymoronic. Heavy emphasis on “moronic.”
