After reading some of the latest article from The Fresno Bee regarding high-speed rail, it is becoming apparent that the project is on life support, and the plug needs to be pulled once and for all.

When it was first proposed in 1995, the plan was to have super-fast Maglev trains traveling mostly along Interstate 5, but once locals got involved, they wanted the trains to run through each and every city, all in the name of “economic development.”

This is what’s killing the project. If you look at the latest plans for the high-speed rail, it now resembles “zig-zag” rail.

It is time we put an end to this multibillion-dollar fiasco before it is too late.
