Deduct shutdown from our taxes
A logical question:
1. My taxes support the government.
2. The government is shut down – temporarily.
3. If I take the amount that I pay in taxes every year, and divide it by 365, I should have the amount it costs me every day to contribute my share to running the government.
4. If I take this same number and multiply it by the number of days the government is shut down, am I able to deduct if from the amount I pay in taxes?
5. If not, WHY NOT?
