New year new me starting right away

Almost everybody's New Year’s resolution is to get back into shape and better themselves through fitness. However, for many, that is easier said than done. Getting fit is an uphill climb and the hardest aspect is starting.

On average it takes roughly 21 days for a person to form a habit and that’s just the beginning. Once someone gets through their three-week trial, fitness becomes almost like an addiction. Consistency is key and those who have surpassed this trial have found a new life through fitness.

However great this may seem, the majority still seem to give up with excuses galore. One of my favorite excuses that I’ve heard countless times is, “I don’t have time.”

Having worked two jobs in the afternoon while attending school in the morning, I still made time to train, because I just didn’t feel like myself without the gym. No matter what your excuse may be, the only person you’re lying to is yourself, and the only thing you’re hurting is your body.

Start now, not next Monday.
