Good sex education means fewer students drop out of school
Schools in Clovis Unified School District have amazing opportunities for students. They care and help students gain the education they need to graduate and go to college.
One thing stopping students from doing so is dropping out due to teen pregnancies. When young women or girls become pregnant at an “irresponsible” age, judgment and harassment come along with it.
How can we stop this? Put sex education back into classrooms and teach health the right way. Budget cuts should not be an option for schools to cut out things that are helpful in the real world.
Many schools now don’t teach students the right way to use a checkbook, to calculate how to save money and not be in debt in the future. They should teach students about safe sex and how to be careful. Sex education equals fewer school dropouts.
