Henry’s ‘baseless ranting’ is nothing new
I’d like to draw your attention to James Henry’s post on Dec. 11, and his previous posts. On one hand, I always get a good laugh at the conspiratorial tone, and unfounded claims fed to him straight from Fox News, but on the other, I’m aware of the danger posed by so much tripe.
Please read his words carefully, and if you can try to find a single fact that would support his claims that Robert Mueller’s investigation must be stopped because of corruption, based in a “radical left-wing conspiracy,” you will not find any. Instead, you will find his baseless political ranting rallying against his mythical foe “the swamp.”
Mr. Henry’s brand of ignorance and hysteria are nothing new. Our country has been plagued by this brand of baseless fanaticism since it’s inception, and try as we might, it lingers, as I expect it always will. But I call our attention to it because it masquerades as patriotism, righteousness and is always cloaked in “us versus them.”
Other people, other times have seen this brand of ignorance cloaked in righteousness before, most recently under a black flag in the Iraqi desert. Let’s pay attention.
