Hey, losers, can’t you laugh it off?

Growing up with my brothers, all we ever did was argue and call each other names. We, too, laughed about the names ourselves even when they were directed toward us. But it’s crazy to think how much everything has changed recently. We can’t do that same thing nowadays.

Everyone takes everything you say so personally and to the heart. Our generation definitely does not know how to take a joke and that really aggravates me. Back then that’s all we did; make fun of each other, call each other little names, make jokes, and laugh together. Now we as a society can’t make one smart or sarcastic remark without someone giving you the evil eye or telling on you like a 4-year-old.

I’m not saying this world doesn’t need change, because we can always improve minor things that will eventually make a big difference.

But here’s the thing, we just need to lace up our shoes and pick up our big girl and boy pants. Wipe that shallow look off our faces, respond to a smart comment with something even more frivolous. Be witty and quickly smile, laugh and stop being so gosh darn sensitive.
