There is a critical vote coming up on access to the River West area of the San Joaquin River from the City of Fresno. Please, attend if you can. It is Dec. 13, 10:30 a.m. at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Auditorium, 808 Fourth Street, Clovis.

The City of Fresno and the San Joaquin River Conservancy Board need to see hundreds of people at this meeting. Please support public access to our river, which runs right along next to the northern edge of Fresno. See it from Spano Park on Palm Avenue, just north of Nees Avenue.

Because access is so limited, many people in Fresno do not know the river is so close. It has been kept a closely held secret. This needs to end. Our public land needs to be accessible to all.

This would be such an asset to life in Fresno. Hope to see you there. Thank you for your interest and support.

Linda Foster, Fresno
