Former Fresno police officer Paul Hurth was accused of killing his lover’s husband.
Former Fresno police officer Paul Hurth was accused of killing his lover’s husband. JOHN WALKER

If ever a murder was first degree, this was it. Paul Hurth wore his Fresno police uniform (on his day off) and went to the victim’s home. He killed him, period!

He was a bad cop. I won’t review all the facts of this case, but he never should have been able to plead to manslaughter. It was a travesty. (Just as it was when Fresno Deputy Chief Keith Foster getting 4 years)
