Tax-dodging big business outsources jobs to foreigners
Our ruling corporations profit mightily from our world empire; they just don't want to pay the taxes to buy the weapons it requires.
They leave that chore to us humans, many of whose jobs they have shipped overseas. That's the only reason they put up with us.
