County board’s editing reveals blindness to government weaknesses
Fresno County’s Board of Supervisors agreed by consensus to eliminate four of the County’s Guiding Principles at their special meeting at Harris Ranch last month.
Those principles agreed to be eliminated as redundant or obvious were:
▪ fact-based decision making
▪ truth telling
▪ commitment to resolving conflict
▪ conflict of interest
Seems like those principles for governing have never been more important to be emphasized not to be eliminated.
