Who’s the terrorist? Killer with guns or killer with pickup?

I fail to understand why a man with a gun who kills more than 50 people in a few minutes is characterized as “mentally deranged,” and a man with a pickup who kills eight people in a few minutes is called a terrorist.

I also fail to understand why we can’t talk about policy when people die by gunshot, but we can immediately propose policy changes when people are hit by a pickup.
