What’s that smell? Neglect of west Fresno
Many years ago, I worked as a police officer in west Fresno. At the time, it was determined that if you moved near the Hyde Park, you were asking for what you got.
Well let me tell you, the offensive smell was overwhelming. I often thought. what did former mayor Floyd Hyde do to deserve this – a dump for a park, and a stench in the air?
I will never know, but I would like some answers about our former city leaders’ actions, or, in this case, paybacks at the detriment of west Fresno residents. I commend Mary Curry and Bob Mitchell for attempting to make the west Fresno a community.
By the way, this would never happen up north.
