Las Vegas shooter – one of our own
The Las Vegas shooting was a big tragedy, but I was relieved to know that the shooter was not a Muslim.
If the shooter was a Muslim, the people of color, especially the Sikh community, would have been a target of hate just like after 9/11.
Sikhs wear turbans as an article of faith and are perceived by local public as Muslims from Middle East. I want to let the American public know that, as immigrants to this great country, we are here for better futures for ourselves and our children.
We have nothing to do with terrorism. There are extremists in all races, just like Stephen Paddock, one of our own.
