Valadao’s odd idea of tax relief

I have been watching TV touting that Rep. David Valadao is fighting for middle-class tax relief.

Yet the Republican tax plan eliminates tax deductions for state and local taxes. Can someone please explain how this is fighting for middle-class tax relief?

Is outright lying to us the new norm? As Americans, are we really that dumb?
