I’m a Dreamer. This is a nightmare.

I dream that I would live in a country where everyone was treated equally, just like our forefathers meant it to be.

I dream that I would live in a country where doing what is morally right rather than what one person in power thinks.

I dream that I would live in a country where our lawmakers listened and voted with their hearts and the thoughts of their constituents.

I dream I lived in a country where the leader of the free world would not antagonize other world leaders. How about diplomatic language?

I dream I lived in a country where my grandchildren aren't afraid to go to sleep at night for fear that the world won't be there when they wake.

I dream I lived in a country where fairness and thought translates to what is morally correct.

The deportation of 800,000 innocent people who came as babies with their families and have known nothing else but what this great country can be. This is a nightmare.

But I can dream.
