Who roams free when Fresno's homeless are jailed? Car thieves?
What is the reason many homeless do not seek social services to assist with housing?
Is there enough funding and services to truly help these people find housing and help them keep it?
How much will it cost to jail the homeless?
Who will be released early from jail to accommodate the homeless? Will it be the car thieves who seem to have a revolving door as it is?
Many of these homeless people have pets with them.. Can they find assistance without having to give up possibly their only friend in the world? Are their pets left to fend for themselves? What happens to their pets? People in disaster areas have been known to sacrifice their own lives when they couldn't get help with their pets.
Are we truly prepared to help these people get the comprehensive help they need to succeed before jailing or fining them?
Past efforts to tackle this terrible problem seems to have only brought lawsuits while scattering the problem throughout the city, as the problem only grew worse. Is the horse in front of the cart?
