Grateful family thanks Fresno VA, Dr. Paulette Gineer for ‘excellent’ care
Jennings Gordan Brown passed away Aug. 10 after a 4.5 year hospitalization in the Fresno Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Living Center (CLC).
The VA in some areas of the country has received negative press of late. Our experience with the VA in Fresno has been entirely different. The VA for many years, under Dr. Paulette Gineer’s care, and several outpatient nurses, provided excellent outpatient care for Jennings before a stroke and other ailments required his admittance to and stay in the VA CLC.
Dr. Gineer directed his treatment until the very end. But there were so many nurses, working at times with a somewhat difficult patient, who were tolerant and loving in their care. Many others were helpful and responsible for his care, making his time there as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
We especially remember Marilyn, Lupe, Ophelia, Lewis, and so many others too numerable to mention. Our family was always well received. We would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank the VA doctors, staff and volunteers there for the patient, kind and loving care provided him during his time with them..
