Can’t 49er ‘squatters’ just have some fun?
Oh, please! And it’ s only a pre-season football game!
The 49ers seem to enjoy the publicity on TV and front page of the Bee Sports. Real sports fans are not interested in your squatters protesting the American flag and the anthem. That’s the way the games have always started . . even before those players were born.
Just keep this in mind. Don’t bother building bigger and better stadiums. The sports fans who have supported you for so long are the parents and grandparents of the millennials. You know them – all you see of them is how they part their hair. They are spending their time with their faces in their electronics that develop something new daily.
Those fast-moving games keep their attention. Don’t think for one minute that they will ever pay hundreds of dollars for tickets and wait in line to watch a slow moving football game for three hours – and watch the pouting players.
Maybe this generation can give you some ideas. Can’t we just have some fun without everything turning in to an unpleasant issue?
The season hasn’t started – you’re off my list.
