Why is the left deaf shutting down free speech it opposes?
Once upon a time in America, the left was the bastion of advocacy for free speech. Liberals took a case to the U.S. Supreme Court (Cohen v. California, 403 US 15 (1971)) in order to establish that the First Amendment to the Constitution protected speech – even when it was offensive to others.
It is truly tragic that today the left has determined to make a coordinated attempt to shut down any and all speech that it does not like.
