Trump pays Sanders to help him Make America Vulgar Again
I never thought I would feel sorry for propagandist Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Can you imagine having to get up every morning and being tasked with having to normalize the political farce that is the rapidly unraveling Trump presidency?
Every day this poor young woman has to take the latest infantile tweets or public utterances of America’s churlish president and perform political alchemy, converting the latest dose of shameless buffoonery and preposterous ill-informed declarations into something that can be swallowed by Americans without having to hold our collective national noses.
Sisyphus had an easier job.
Every absurdity, and these days they roll out of the Oval Office by the bushels, has to be adroitly spun by the beleaguered Ms. Sanders in order to make it palatable to Trump’s base, which has shown itself to have set a very low bar for our Kremlin loving chief executive.
The rest of us know better.
Trump’s now hollow Make America Great Again slogan serves only to accentuate the ridiculousness of it all as he unwittingly and haphazardly lampoons and renders ineffectual the grandest office in the world.
The world is laughing at us now, and many allies are rightly concerned as the Trump administration makes political ineptitude an art.
