What do people really know about being homeless?

The community blames homeless people and is not very understanding of their situation. Many are veterans who don’t have a lot of options when they get back from service. Not all homeless people are drug addicts. Nor do they choose that lifestyle. It is hard to get off the streets. Many people live in harsh conditions and have no way to get out of homeless camps or off the streets.

Luckily there are new programs that help. Fresno First Steps Home is an organization that gives homeless people another chance at living independently. They raise money to help homeless people get on their feet again and get out into the real world.

Together we can make a change in this community if we work together to help resolve this problem. Everyone deserves a second chance and nobody deserves to be homeless.
